Welcome to the Six Bells Inn
The Six Bells Inn, once ‘The Church House’ was built in the 17th Century and has been extended several times since then to create the deceptively large public house it has become. Situated in the village of Payhembury, it is easily accessible from both the M5 and A30, close to the historic towns of Ottery St Mary and Honiton.
The one thing you can always be sure of is excellent and friendly service at this family run freehouse. The quality of the ale is unquestionable as are the fine wines supplied by local wine merchants, all superb accompaniments to the extensive menu on offer, created from locally sourced produce wherever possible.
Sue, Pat, Jamie and Nicola came to Payhembury in 2006 and received the typically warm welcome thats extended to all coming to the village. In recent years the pub has benefited from a much needed makeover to it’s décor without losing the rustic charm of its 400 years and is truly the ‘heart of the village’. In addition to the lounge bar/restaurant and public bar, we have a large function room available to hire for private parties and weddings.
